Director of Claims
Stuart Allen oversees medical and dental malpractice claims and general liability matters for the University of Illinois System, directing the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of significant and complex cases across multiple campuses. He manages the operations of the Chicago Claims Office and supervises the claims analysts and staff responsible for these matters.
Stuart joined the University in 2000 following 14 years in the insurance industry. His experience includes litigation management, case valuation, reserve setting, staff supervision, and oversight of major professional liability and general liability programs.
He holds an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago, the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, and a B.S. in Business Management from Bradley University.
