Renee Strohkirch
Visiting Assistant University Counsel
Renee joined the Office of University Counsel in 2026 after serving as a Legal Fellow at the University of Illinois Chicago. In that role, she advised university units and leadership on compliance, governance, and enterprise risk, and drafted and negotiated contracts and other agreements. Renee also conducted legal research and provided policy recommendations on a range of issues, including federal compliance, technology, and employment matters.
Renee received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History and her J.D. from the University of Illinois. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
