Mike Fagan
Senior Director of Claims
Mike Fagan is the Senior Director of Claims with the Office of University Counsel, who oversees the investigation, evaluation, and management of professional and general liability matters for the University of Illinois System. He brings more than 25 years of experience in claims management, medical malpractice litigation, and legal services, including senior leadership roles with Trinity Health and Loyola University Medical Center. Throughout his career, Mike has managed complex healthcare liability claims, developed litigation and claim resolution strategies with defense counsel, negotiated settlements, and supervised claims professionals and support staff. He holds a Master of Arts in History from Marshall University, a Lawyer's Assistant Program Certificate from Roosevelt University, and a Bachelor of Science in History from MacMurray College.
