Scott E. Rice
Scott Rice supports the University on all campuses in a number of areas, including capital and infrastructure, business and finance, procurement, and other matters. Scott joined the Office of University Counsel in 2005 following service as general counsel to a national architecture and engineering corporation. Scott also has significant experience in all three branches of Illinois state government, having served as a law clerk to Illinois Supreme Court Justice Rita B. Garman, as travel aide and an advisor to former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar, and as a legislative aide in the Illinois General Assembly. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Juris Doctorate from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
