Thomas R. Lamont

Tom joined the office in 2005. Prior to joining the University, Tom spent more than 25 years in private practice as a partner in Chicago and downstate law firms. In addition, he has served in a variety of public positions including both as a member and executive director of the Illinois Board of Higher Education; a member of the State University Retirement System Board of Trustees; executive director, Office of the State Appellate Prosecutor; Director of Civil Litigation, Office of the Illinois Attorney General; as well as serving on the University's Board of Trustees for 13 years, including three years as Chair of the Board. His areas of concentration include administrative and regulatory issues
